macOS 27 requires Apple Silicon, as Apple draws down the Intel Mac era
macOS 27 Golden Gate requires an Apple Silicon chip. Intel Macs will receive security patches for about two years after the release. Apple Silicon Macs will still run Intel Mac apps via Rosetta 2.
