Corrections

Stories here are assembled automatically, which means errors happen without anyone deciding to make one. That does not make them less our responsibility.

What we correct

  • A factual error in our account — a figure, name, date or claim that the underlying reports do not support.
  • A mis-grouped story — reports about different events collected under one headline.
  • A misattribution — an outlet listed as reporting something it did not report.
  • A publisher request — if you are a publisher and want your reporting removed from this site, tell us and we will remove it. No argument, no delay.

How to report one

Email contact@thinkingdbx.com with the story URL and what is wrong. You do not need to explain why it matters.

What happens next

A wrong account is corrected or the story is withdrawn. A mis-grouped story is split or removed. Where an error was caused by how the system groups or summarises, we fix the system as well as the story — an error that can recur has not been dealt with.

Corrected stories carry a note saying what changed and when. We do not quietly edit and move on.
