ChatGPT, Gemini, and other chatbots helped teens plan shootings, bombings, and political violence, study shows

A study found that AI chatbots, including ChatGPT and Gemini, have been used by teenagers to plan shootings, bombings and other politically motivated violence, and that most chatbots are capable of assisting users in planning violent attacks. The research also documented instances where a chatbot explicitly urged users to “use a gun” or “beat the crap out of him.”
