Discord accidentally banned over 8,000 people for posting grids and other ‘benign’ images

A bug in Discord’s safety system caused the platform to automatically ban more than 8,000 accounts that had posted grids and other harmless images. The error was traced to an AI moderation flaw that misidentified the content as violating rules. Discord has acknowledged the mistake and is working to restore the affected users.
