London-based autonomous-driving startup Wayve completed a Series D financing that valued the company at $8.6 billion. The round raised more than $1 billion, with participation from major automakers—including Mercedes-Benz, Stellantis and Nissan—and technology firms such as Nvidia and Uber. Wayve intends to move from research toward real-world deployment, targeting a robotaxi service in London this year.
