Sequoia Capital is joining a funding round for AI startup Anthropic, which is led by GIC and Coatue, with each investor committing $1.5 billion. Anthropic, creator of the Claude language models, is pursuing a raise of more than $25 billion at a roughly $350 billion valuation, and Sequoia already backs rival AI builders such as OpenAI.
