Dashlane says hackers stole password vaults via a 'brute force attack'

Hackers breached Dashlane’s security by brute-forcing its two-factor authentication, allowing them to download encrypted password vaults belonging to customers. The attackers accessed the vaults through a brute-force attack, resulting in the theft of the stored passwords. Dashlane confirmed the breach and is investigating the incident.
