Google will support ChromeOS until 2034 as it shifts to Googlebook OS

Google will end ChromeOS updates in mid-2034, with existing devices continuing to receive security patches until that time. The company is launching a new line of Android-based laptops, called Googlebook, that will replace ChromeOS and offer deeper system capabilities and AI features. Googlebook laptops will launch on October 4, receive ten years of software support, and will support web and Android apps.
