Wikipedia blacklists Archive.today, starts removing 695,000 archive links

Wikipedia has blacklisted the web-archiving service Archive.today, removing more than 695,000 links to the site from the encyclopedia. Editors took the action after discovering that Archive.today was used to direct a distributed-denial-of-service attack and had altered archived snapshots. The purge applies across English-language Wikipedia.
