Music publishers sue Anthropic for $3B over ‘flagrant piracy’ of 20,000 works
Music publishers have filed a lawsuit against Anthropic seeking $3 billion in damages. The suit alleges the company engaged in “flagrant piracy” and infringed the copyrights of more than 20,000 songs. The plaintiffs claim that the alleged infringement was widespread and that Anthropic’s use of the works violated U.S. copyright law.
