U.S. court bars OpenAI from using ‘Cameo’

A U.S. federal court has ordered OpenAI to cease using the term “Cameo” for its Sora products and features, ruling in favor of the celebrity-video app Cameo’s trademark claim. In response, OpenAI has renamed the feature “Characters,” ending the naming conflict and complying with the court’s decision.
