100s of flights cancelled at UK airports due to ATC issue

An ATC failure at NATS caused more than 1,000 flight cancellations across UK airports, with Heathrow suspending arrivals for the rest of the day while departures resumed, and Bristol, Manchester and East Midlands reporting ongoing disruption. NATS chief Martin Rolfe said systems are now operating, a six-hour outage is being investigated, and recovery efforts are under way.
