A $1.3bn loan will help build a Texas data centre for Anthropic

Eagle Point Credit Management is providing a $1.3 billion mezzanine loan, the largest single tranche, within a roughly $16 billion project-finance package for Nexus Data Centers’ 2,900-acre AI data-centre campus in Hubbard, Texas, where Anthropic will be the primary tenant. The site will include its own gas-fired power plant, and Google is guaranteeing the senior debt that makes up about $15 billion of the overall financing.
