81% of CIOs lack full oversight of AI agents built outside IT, Dataiku says

Eighty-one percent of CIOs lack full oversight of AI agents developed outside formal IT channels, while 83% lack standardized lifecycle management. Although 90% of leaders track their agents, 72% cannot verify if these tools deliver intended business outcomes. Consequently, 76% of CIOs fear for their job security if AI fails to produce measurable gains by 2027.
