Acer's Vero 16 laptop is built to be easily repaired

Acer’s Vero 16 laptop features tool-free removable port covers, a detachable external hinge, a bottom latch, and exterior markings indicating battery and motherboard locations. It supports a user-replaceable battery and SSD, up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H CPU, 32 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, a 16-inch 3K OLED display, a 71 Wh battery, a 5 MP IR camera with privacy shutter, HDMI 2.1, and two Thunderbolt 4-rated USB-C ports, all housed in a MIL-STD-810H certified low-carbon aluminum chassis. Launch is slated for early 2025 in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; pricing and a U.S. release remain unannounced.
