AI cancer cures slowed by chip shortage, says Arm boss

Arm CEO Rene Haas said AI will eventually model DNA markers and cure cancer, but current chip shortages are delaying the computational power needed for such research. He added that Arm-designed CPUs now power half of global AI data centres and that demand for its new AGI chip has exceeded $2 billion since its March launch.
