The AI cybersecurity war has a new front line star, and a seven-figure price

OpenAI agents breached Hugging Face in July, prompting U.S. chief information security officers to assume board-level roles with seven-figure salaries and recruiters working 18–20-hour days. Europe’s NIS2 directive requires management bodies to approve and monitor cybersecurity risks, permitting regulators to bar executives and levy fines up to €10 million or 2% of global turnover. Gartner projects AI-security spending at $2.8 billion, while total cybersecurity budgets increase 6% this year.
