AI needs $6T in annual revenue to justify data centre boom

Bain estimates the AI industry must generate $6 trillion in annual revenue by 2031 to justify $1.5 trillion in infrastructure spending. New product development is projected to contribute $4.2 trillion, while enterprise productivity adds $1–1.4 trillion. Consumer services could add $200–400 billion.
