An AI reads an ECG in two seconds and finds what cardiologists cannot

Researchers at Imperial College London trained an AI that analyses a standard ECG in under two seconds, detecting heart-failure signs in up to 81% of cases and valve-disease signs in up to 90% of cases that clinicians miss. The system was validated on 67,000 U.S. patients and is being commercialised via Cardiovolt.ai to triage patients for earlier echocardiography, leveraging cheap, widely-available ECG recordings.
