AIR raises $50M to help companies vet the skills and add-ons AI agents use
AIR, an AI security startup founded by former Unit 8200 officers Yair Saban and Niv Hoffman, raised $50 million in two seed rounds—$10 million led by Sequoia and $40 million led by Greenoaks. Its platform discovers enterprise AI agents, vets their skills, plug-ins and MCP servers, and blocks unauthorized components, maintaining a whitelist that filters about 27% of online offerings. The service currently supports over 20 customers, including major financial-services and pharmaceutical firms, offering visibility, enforcement hooks, and a marketplace of approved AI tools.
