Alibaba launches Wan3.0, its 30-second video model, days after raising $10bn

Alibaba unveiled Wan3.0, a video-generation model that creates up to 30-second clips at 1080p, supporting text, images, audio, video, web pages, PDFs and PowerPoint inputs, and pricing it at $0.20 per second for full-HD output. The model, now in public beta via Model Studio and Qwen Cloud, targets marketing and corporate communications, while Alibaba earmarks its recent $10.2 bn Hong Kong share placement entirely for AI development.
