Amazon accused of systematically denying pregnant warehouse workers chairs and breaks

Four former Amazon warehouse workers have filed a proposed nationwide class action alleging the company denied pregnant employees basic accommodations—chairs, bathroom, water breaks, and time for prenatal appointments—while disciplining them for resulting absences, violating the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act and New York labor law. The complaint cites a June 2025 hospitalisation of plaintiff Willamina Barclay followed by her dismissal, and seeks back pay, benefits, punitive damages and an injunction.
