Amazon blocks Meta’s Muse and accuses Perplexity of misleading a court

Amazon blocked Meta’s Muse AI assistant from accessing Amazon.com, citing unauthorized use of customer credentials and data scraping that bypasses Amazon’s personalization. It also filed a 41-page amended complaint against Perplexity, alleging the company’s Comet iOS app copies Amazon session cookies to Perplexity’s cloud servers, violating computer fraud and tortious interference statutes. Both actions target third-party AI agents that operate without Amazon’s permission.
