Amazon just tripled its order of Nvidia chips over ‘surging demand’
Amazon will deploy 2 million Nvidia GPU chips—Blackwell Ultra, Rubin, and Rubin Ultra models—to its AWS data centers in 2027 and 2028, following a 1 million-chip rollout earlier this year. The multi-billion-dollar agreement also covers Nvidia networking hardware, open models, CPUs, and robotics platforms, which Amazon will integrate into cloud services, warehouse robots, and enterprise solutions. Nvidia’s Q2 sales totaled $96.2 billion, largely from data-center revenue.
