Amazon releases its own Jev clone as decision models flood the web
Amazon Web Services released Strands Decider 2B, an open-source decision model built on Qwen3.5-2B that selects from pre-defined options and outputs confidence scores. The model, inspired by TypeSafe’s Jev, runs locally, offers low latency and cost, and achieved a top Jevbench ranking for its size before AWS formalized it. AWS engineers developed it after customer demand for lightweight, reliable workflow steps.
