Amkor is taking its Arizona chip packaging campus to $12bn

Amkor is enlarging its Arizona campus to 93,000 sq m of cleanroom space, bringing total investment to roughly $12 billion and aiming for completion by the end of 2029 with over 3,500 jobs. Funding includes a $407 million CHIPS Act grant, a $1.5 billion Nvidia prepayment, and Amkor’s own capital. Phase 1 customers are Apple, Nvidia and TSMC; Phase 2 will be supported by undisclosed strong customer commitments.
