Andy Dunn’s startup Pie becomes less of an events app and more of a social network

Pie added “Community Homes,” permanent group pages with feeds, admin tools, shareable URLs and event-planning features, letting any member post events and later chat or post casual hang-out requests. The shift from an events-only app to a broader social network boosted average session time from two to ten minutes and aligns with Gen-Z’s push toward real-world community clubs.
