Anthropic gets its first court win over the Pentagon’s supply chain risk label
A California federal judge held that the Trump administration’s designation of Anthropic as a supply-chain risk violated the First Amendment’s retaliation prohibition and the Fifth Amendment’s due-process guarantee. The ruling noted the Defense Secretary’s contradictory proposal to invoke the Defense Production Act while labeling Anthropic a threat, and observed that the Department of Defense still contracts with Anthropic and employs its Mythos model for cybersecurity.
