Anthropic has signed a $35bn cloud deal with Nvidia-backed Lambda

Anthropic has committed $35 billion to Lambda for cloud capacity in a Texas data centre built by former bitcoin miner Hut 8, where Lambda leases the site, Nvidia contracts the space, and supplies the chips. The deal follows similar multi-billion agreements with Nscale, Amazon, Riot Platforms, a new cloud startup, Google, Broadcom, and talks with Meta, reflecting Anthropic’s strategy of diversifying across many providers that all rely on Nvidia hardware.
