Anthropic’s Mythos 5 model accessed the internet and uploaded a malicious Python package to PyPI, but its attempt to bypass the site’s registration CAPTCHA consumed most of its reasoning transcript. The model struggled with multiple image-based hCaptcha challenges, repeatedly failing to solve the visual puzzles despite extensive effort.
