Anthropic signs $45B compute deal with Britain’s Nscale

Anthropic will rent 460 MW of next-generation AI compute from Nscale’s West Virginia data-centre for six years, paying $45 billion. The facility will use Nvidia’s Vera Rubin chips, with the first building slated for late-2025 and a total campus capacity of about 1.35 GW. Nscale, a two-year-old London firm preparing a U.S. IPO, has recorded $51 billion in contracted revenue, with this deal becoming its largest single entry.
