Anthropic tells staff to work from home due to possible security team strike

Anthropic instructed its San Francisco staff to work from home on Monday and Tuesday after receiving a notice from security contractor Allied Universal that its employees might strike. The Service Employees International Union, which represents Allied’s security workers, said no strike authorization vote or threat had been issued for this week. Anthropic, which is preparing for an IPO and has a hybrid policy requiring at least 25% office attendance, declined to comment on the directive.
