Anthropic’s revenue passed OpenAI’s for the first time last quarter

Anthropic’s quarterly revenue rose to $11.6 billion, more than double OpenAI’s $6.7 billion, and it posted a modest operating profit. OpenAI’s loss grew to $12.3 billion despite an 18% revenue increase, lagging peers such as Palantir, CoreWeave and Micron. Leadership changes aim to boost business-customer revenue, which rose 32% in July. Both firms are preparing IPOs, with Anthropic targeting a $2 trillion valuation and OpenAI slated to list next year.
