Apache Iggy, a message streaming platform in Rust, graduates to an Apache TLP
Apache Iggy, a Rust-based persistent streaming platform built on a thread-per-core architecture with io_uring and Viewstamped Replication Revisited consensus, achieved single-digit millisecond P99+ latencies and graduated to an Apache Software Foundation Top-Level Project on August 19 2026 after a unanimous Incubator vote. Originating in March 2023 as a solo experiment, the project attracted global contributors, moved its code to ASF via a software grant in early 2025, and now operates under Apache’s community-driven governance.
