Apollo blames social engineering for a four-day breach in July

Apollo Global Management disclosed that hackers accessed its cloud platforms from July 6-10, extracting names, dates of birth, contact details, home addresses and Social Security numbers. The firm notified law enforcement, hired external cybersecurity and forensic experts, and offered affected individuals 24-month credit-monitoring services through TransUnion’s Cyberscout, with enrollment required within 90 days.
