Apple Copland D11E4 Booting in the Browser

Apple’s final Copland build D11E4 runs in a browser via a DingusPPC emulator compiled to WebAssembly. The emulator matches real-hardware boot times of ~30 seconds on modern machines and includes 11 patches that unlock Copland. Users can launch GXSlidemaster or Eric’s Solitaire, and assertion failures drop into a debugger that can be continued. Copland was intended to replace System 7 with a microkernel but was cancelled in favor of NeXTSTEP/OpenStep, which evolved into Mac OS X.
