Apple paid 40% of its global tax bill to one country

Apple paid €17.1 billion in tax to Ireland in the fiscal year to September 2025, representing about 40% of its total worldwide corporate income tax of $43.2 billion. The amount includes €13 billion in back taxes ordered by the EU’s top court after a decade-long dispute over illegal state aid. New EU reporting rules forced Apple to disclose this country-by-country breakdown for the first time.
