Apple reportedly building server packed with M-series Ultra chips for AI

Apple is developing an AI server that will use Apple’s M-series Ultra chips, with two or four future M8 Ultra processors in separate configurations. The product is slated for a 2029 release, marking Apple’s first server launch in nearly two decades. The project received backing from CEO John Ternus and aligns with rising demand for Mac mini and Mac Studio units among AI developers.
