Apple shares ‘shocking evidence’ against former employee accused of stealing company data for OpenAI

Apple alleges that former employee Chang Liu transferred a confidential Apple circuit schematic and a tool named after an internal Apple engineering application to OpenAI, and that OpenAI colleague Yu-Ting Peng helped destroy evidence in June. Apple says Liu exploited an unknown authentication bug to retain access after leaving, and is seeking a preliminary injunction to block OpenAI from using Apple hardware-related technology while pursuing expedited discovery.
