Apple Wallet is not the same as Apple Pay: Here's how they differ

Apple Wallet is an iPhone app, paired with Apple Watch, that holds digital versions of payment cards, IDs, tickets, and loyalty cards. Apple Pay uses those stored cards to make NFC or online purchases, generating a unique Device Account Number and a one-time security code for each transaction, authenticated by Face ID, Touch ID, or PIN. Apple Cash, linked to Apple Pay, enables peer-to-peer transfers but functions only between Apple devices.
