Asahi Linux Now Officially Supports Apple M3 Macs – With Caveats
Asahi Linux now officially supports Apple Macs with M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max SoCs, excluding the Mac Studio M3 Ultra. The release offers near-complete functionality comparable to M1/M2 devices, but GPU performance and power efficiency for 3D acceleration remain limited, and sleep and HDMI output are unavailable due to missing DCP support. Ongoing upstream work aims to integrate additional patches into Linux 7.4+.
