ASML says it sold 'absolutely nothing' in Europe in 2026
ASML reported 2026 revenue from Europe at 0%, down from 1% in 2025 and 5% in 2024, because European chipmakers bought no EUV lithography systems. The company urged EU authorities to stimulate demand for European chips, noting subsidies for fabs have not attracted new factories. ASML cited Intel’s €5 billion expansion at Fab 34 in Ireland and ESMC’s €15 billion Dresden plant as ongoing projects that currently do not generate demand for its equipment.
