Audi built an efficient EV in Germany. It is 12cm too long for the rules meant to help

Audi’s A2 e-tron, produced in Ingolstadt, starts at €38,200 and offers a WLTP range of up to 646 km. The 188 hp efficiency version uses 12.8 kWh/100 km, has a 0.24 drag coefficient, and comes with 52, 61, or 84 kWh batteries (52 kWh and 61 kWh are LFP). The 4.32 m length exceeds the EU M1E small-car limit of 4.20 m, so it cannot qualify for the 1.3-vehicle super-credit. Bidirectional charging is 3.6 kW, with vehicle-to-home available only in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
