Australian police arrest two over TeamPCP hacks targeting Mercor, OpenAI, and others

Australian police arrested two Perth men alleged members of the TeamPCP hacking gang, charging them with more than a dozen offenses including hacking, money laundering and cyber-crime. Investigators say the gang injected malicious code into open-source tools, compromising over 1,000 organisations, stealing more than 500,000 credentials and targeting services such as Trivy, Mercor, GitHub and OpenAI.
