Automating Immersive Reading

Storyteller’s forced-alignment engine automatically matches each word of an EPUB with its spoken counterpart in a supplied audiobook, then embeds Media Overlay metadata so reader apps can highlight narration in real time. The system handles common mismatches such as differing chapter order, missing or extra sections, skipped spans, and intentional word variations, and is being rolled out across web, Android, iOS, KOReader, and upcoming macOS, watchOS, and tvOS clients.
