Autonomous Mathematical Discovery in an Open-World Multi-Agent Environment
AI agents in the open-world Station environment independently chose research topics, performed experiments, and jointly compiled a scientific literature. They produced novel results on twelve construction problems, including a new infinite family of finite-field Kakeya sets, exact 604-point kissing configurations in dimension 11, record solutions for discretized Kakeya needle and sign-uncertainty problems, a substantially improved lower bound for Erdős’s minimum-overlap problem, and infinite families for Book Ramsey numbers, each supported by formal theorems, analyses, and verification code.
