Autonomy pivots to gas vehicles to keep the dream of car subscriptions alive

Autonomy, after its EV subscription fleet fell to about 500 vehicles and lost a third of its value, is adding gasoline-powered Ford models—including Mustang, Ranger, F-150, Bronco Sport, Escape and Explorer—sourced from Galpin Motors and offered in California and several other states. The company charges a $1,000 initiation fee and a monthly rate that varies by model, targeting university students, military families, foreign workers and “company car” users seeking flexible, credit-independent mobility.
