AWS Acquires DuckDB

DuckLabs will join Amazon Web Services on September 1, with the transition completed on August 31, 2026, and the Amsterdam team will continue developing DuckDB, DuckLake, Quack, and related open-source projects. All Duck Stack components will stay free under the MIT license, overseen by the DuckDB Foundation, while AWS will provide the infrastructure and scale to expand their usage.
