Baidu’s Apollo Go is now on Uber in Dubai, with no safety driver

Uber introduced Baidu’s sixth-generation Apollo Go robotaxis in Dubai’s Umm Suqeim and Jumeirah, offering an “Autonomous” mode for up to three passengers. The fleet, run by New Horizon Luxury Transport, uses RT6 electric cars with more than 30 sensors. Baidu reports over 350 million autonomous kilometres driven, including 240 million fully driverless, without releasing safety incident data or pricing. This follows Uber’s separate European launch in Zagreb, which required a safety driver.
