A better SQL in 11 lines of code
Prela, a new query language from UCLA RePL, represents all data as binary relations, allowing tables to be “binarized” into two-column mappings that behave like functions. By composing these relations with the .select (or .s) operator, complex queries—such as retrieving movies produced by U.S. companies with character-name titles and their cast aliases—can be expressed in a concise, chainable syntax that replaces verbose multi-line SQL.
